Thank you for considering adoption! Adopting from a trusted rabbit rescue or animal shelter has many benefits.

1. Volunteers and/or staff often have a chance to get to know the rabbits’ personalities and can help you find a great match.

2. Rescue rabbits are often spayed/neutered before adoption. Spay/neuter surgery is a large expense, ranging from $200-$600 in the Triangle area.

3. You are not only providing a forever home to a homeless animal, you are also making space for another rabbit to be saved!

There are several rescue groups, including Triangle Rabbits, and shelters with rabbits available for adoption in our area. You can often visit the rabbits at shelters during their normal operating hours. On busy weekend days, you may want to make an appointment. Rescue groups, including Triangle Rabbits, are often comprised of a network of foster homes. You can visit these bunnies virtually, by appointment, or at a local adoption event.

Please remember that most rescues are run entirely by volunteers, who also have families and jobs, and so it may be a few days before aa appointment can be scheduled.
