Meet a few of the bunnies that your support helps
At Triangle Rabbits, part of our mission is to help rescue rabbits, including those who may need a little extra care. Over the last 10 years, we’ve been able to help more than 300 bunnies find homes of their own.
To care for the bunnies in our program, including foster supplies like food and enclosures, spay/neuter surgeries, RHDV2 vaccines, and check-ups, we spent over $25,000 in 2024 alone! Your support allows us to help these rabbits, and provide care for even more rabbits in our community!

Pepper
Pepper was dropped off at a shelter with a badly broken leg that had started healing incorrectly. Thanks to Avian & Exotic Animal Care, her leg was saved through three surgeries, pins, and weeks of therapy. Despite it all, Pepper kept her sassy spirit, winning hearts on social media with #PepperPower and charming Hop Shop visitors as our “Associate of the Week.” Now, she enjoys life in her adopted home, exploring and napping with her best friend, Sammy.

Jeffrey
Jeffrey arrived at Triangle Rabbits in summer 2024 after being found abandoned in a box. Diagnosed with head tilt and E. Cuniculi, he struggled with dizziness and rolling but never lost his fighting spirit. With dedicated care, he went from syringe feeding to standing, eating, and even hopping into his litter box. Now happily adopted, Jeffrey’s recovery was made possible by generous supporters like you—thank you for making a difference!

Sheldon
Sheldon was surrendered for being "fat and lazy," but he was actually overweight and weak from poor diet and life in a small cage. He struggled to stand and had multiple health issues including raw, flaky skin, a runny eye, and urine scald. Over time he recovered, gained energy, and started eating a healthy diet. After months in foster care, he was adopted in winter 2025 and now enjoys exploring and receiving love from his new family.

Cookies
Cookies started as a scared rabbit who avoided petting and nipped during litter box cleaning, understandable given his rough past. Found as a stray and even picked up in a dog's mouth, he also suffered fur loss, likely from poor living conditions. He has healed, grown back his fur, and embraced his playful side, zipping around, hopping onto chairs, and eagerly snatching his favorite greens. We are grateful to be able to help him on his way to a forever home.

Dug
Meet Dug, one of the friendliest rabbits in our foster program! Rescued by an NC shelter, he’s outgoing, adventurous, and always ready to say “Hi.” He loves exploring (anywhere he can); jumping on couches is a favorite activity. After some exercise, there is nothing Dug likes better than a nap. In fact, he likes napping so much that he got his own feature on our social media - #SleepInSunday.
-
Remy
Remy came to Triangle Rabbits after being surrendered for being "too much to maintain." This spunky lionhead mix has a big personality—she loves to explore, test bunny-proofing, and would even approach the vacuum! Her favorite salads include lavender, basil, sage, and yarrow. As a house rabbit, she enjoys safe toys, love, and regular grooming to keep her fur beautiful. Long-haired rabbits like Remy need extra care, so it's important to consider all aspects of rabbit care before adoption. We’re excited to help her find a family who appreciates her glamorous self!
-
Sandy & Winnie
Winnie and Sandy were rescued from a cruelty case, found in a small cage without food or water. Thanks to animal control and loving fosters, they’ve blossomed into a dynamic duo! Winnie loves pets (especially with treats), while Sandy demands food and attention on her terms—even jumping into laps. These curious buns enjoy free roaming, binkies, zooming, and chewing toys.
-
Gumdrop
Gumdrop was found living in a drain pipe at a local park when she was only eight weeks old. Against the odds, she survived storms with flooding rains and predators. Once rescued, she adapted quickly to house rabbit life, enjoying plenty of food, lots of toys to play with, and a cozy bed. Donations allow us to provide medical care, hay, and food for rabbits like Gumdrop while they are in foster care, and help them on their way to forever homes.
-
Ruby
Ruby stole our hearts with her quirky personality! Found abandoned near the NC coast, she kept her foster families entertained with her love for exploring and redecorating cardboard boxes. Ruby needed a rabbit-savvy home with a family that could appreciate her desire to give humans directions. She had strong opinions, including a dislike for cats, leading to her social media series, "I Hate Cats and Other Stories." Her reports caught the eye of a perfect family, and now Ruby is happily settled in her forever home, continuing her adventures.
-
Luigi
Luigi is a young and charming rabbit with a heart as big as the Mushroom Kingdom. Just like his namesake from the Super Mario Brothers, Luigi is shy but brave, always ready for an adventure, especially if it involves willow sticks to chew. Thanks to your support, Luigi was able to grow up in safety and comfort with a foster family. Now he has a caring family of his own where he can channel his inner hero and spread joy with every hop. His new home was ready to embark on a quest for cuddles and companionship, and Luigi is off to his next adventure!

Hitchhiker
Hitchhiker is one lucky (and handsome) fellow! He was found abandoned on the side of the road; fortunately for him, he was picked up and brought to a local veterinary hospital. He received wonderful care there, and when he was ready for a home they contacted Triangle Rabbits. Hitchhiker loved being a house rabbit and filled his days exploring and doing binkies in his foster home. He had a few bunny dates before finding his perfect match, and now he is enjoying life with his new best friend in a forever home.

Holly
In December 2022, we got a call about a rabbit who had just given birth to eight babies at a local shelter. She needed a safe, quiet place to raise them, and Triangle Rabbits volunteers stepped in. Holly and her “reindeer” babies thrived in foster care, filling our social media with their adorable antics. Holly, a sweet and loving mom, enjoyed head rubs, zooming down hallways, and jumping on furniture. Now, she has a home of her own! Donations to our medical fund help rabbits like Holly and her babies, no matter the season.

Rosie
Rosie had a rough start, abandoned in a yard with head tilt and bee stings. Fortunately, she was able to start medical treatment right away, and within a few weeks, her head tilt began to improve. She started begging non-stop for love and treats without losing her balance or falling over. During Rosie’s exam, they found that she had cardiomyopathy. Despite her heart condition, she loves playtime and popcorn binkies. Her foster family fell in love, and now she’s happily spoiled in her forever home!
