Adoption Process for Triangle Rabbits
View our adoptable rabbits.
Complete our online adoption interest form. Please allow 48 hours for an adoption team volunteer to contact you.
Schedule an adoption meeting. Meetings take place over Zoom with the adoption team. We use this time to learn more about your home and personality traits that are important to you in your new companion. If this is your first rabbit please don’t order supplies until after our first call! There are many products marketed for rabbits that are not safe. See our Suggest Supplies.
Email us photos of your housing setup or schedule a Zoom call to show us your space.
Schedule a video call to learn more about our foster bunnies. This second Zoom call will include the rabbits you are interested in learning more about. You will have a chance to meet them on camera and ask their foster homes specific questions about their personalities and interests.
Review and sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. The link will be sent to you via text message or email.
The adoption team will work with you and the foster home to coordinate a time to move your new friend to your home!
Foster-to-Adopt for Bonding
Looking for a friend for your rabbit? The process begins the same!
After completing steps 1 - 6 you will sign our foster-to-adopt and volunteer waiver. You will also have access to our online foster class. No adoption fee is due at this time and you will be considered a Triangle Rabbits foster home for 8 weeks.
Please follow our bonding guidelines to keep you, your resident rabbit, and your foster rabbit safe during the bonding process.
You will be required to join a locked Slack channel with the adoption team so we can help support you during the bonding process.
If bonding doesn’t work out you will return your foster to us; please allow us 1 -3 weeks to find foster placement.
If bonding is successful you will complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Are you a rabbit person?
Rabbits can make wonderful companions for the right people. They can be friendly, loving, and fun to live with. Rabbits require space of their own, time to run and play every day, interaction with their caregivers, and medical care from a rabbit veterinarian.
Where to adopt?
Adopting from a trusted rabbit rescue or animal shelter has many benefits! You are not only providing a forever home to a homeless animal, you are also making space for another rabbit to be saved!
How much does a rabbit really cost?
Companion rabbits are not “low maintenance” pets. They can live 10 years or longer, and they require a considerable amount of care, time, and money.
